A donation to MOC is an investment in our local democracy.

When you support Marin Organizing Committee, you are investing in the involvement of regular citizens in the ongoing public discourse about the needs of our community. You are promoting leadership development in our civic organizations, congregations and schools. You are funding proactive work on the issues that matter to all of us: housing, immigration, mental healthcare, aging and disability, and more. You are investing in action to improve our communities and make Marin County the kind of place we can all be proud to be part of.

In the past year alone, MOC:

  • Marshalled strong support for the Project Homekey permanent supportive housing site at 1251 S. Eliseo Drive in Larkspur by signing and sharing our petition, writing hundreds of emails to County Supervisors, and speaking up over several hours at a Board of Supervisors meeting, all of which resulted in the Board unanimously voting to approve the project.
  • Provided critical support for creating and preserving affordable housing in San Rafael and Mill Valley.
  • Held three Accountability Sessions with candidates for County Supervisor, County Superintendent of Schools, Novato City Council, and Novato School Board, where all candidates committed to working with us around our agenda of issues.
  • Launched our civic academy strategy to build momentum for increasing the living wage for caregivers.
