MOC strongly supports the efforts through Project Homekey to address homelessness in Marin by providing permanent supportive housing. We advocated for the acquisition of several sites in Marin in 2020, of which two were approved – one in San Rafael and one in Corte Madera.

The latest Project Homekey site is located at 1251 S. Eliseo Drive, in Larkspur. The building was previously a skilled nursing facility and will provide at least 43 units of single-occupancy housing. Supportive services for future residents will include those related to mental and behavioral health, substance use treatment, and work and career development; residents will furthermore have leases in their own name. Learn more about the project at its dedicated website: https://www.1251seliseo.com/

There is a significant amount of misinformation surrounding this project, and it faces opposition from some Marin residents. It is critically important that we demonstrate our support to elected officials for protecting our most vulnerable neighbors and working to end homelessness in Marin.
