Agenda of Issues

In 2019, MOC held bilingual house meeting conversations with over 500 people across the County, sharing stories of the pressures facing their families. Out of these conversations, MOC ratified an agenda of issues at our 10-year Convention. Leaders made this commitment real by committing to be on research teams, working to find concrete, actionable issues to address the broader problems identified through house meetings. During the pandemic, these research teams have conducted more than 100 research actions with public officials and experts to discern solutions as well as Civic Academies with over 500 people and dozens of house meetings across our member institutions to understand more deeply the changing needs of our community. Out of these many conversations comes this issue agenda that we will be acting together on in 2022.

In the spring of 2022, we held two accountability sessions with candidates for Marin County District 1 Supervisor, District 5 Supervisor, and Board of Education Superintendent. We received commitments from all the candidates who attended, and we look forward to working with both new and current elected officials to make our issues agenda vision a reality.
